The Karnataka State Pharmacy Council has started two hospital-attached Drug Information Centers at Victoria Hospital in the year 2001 and Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital in 2003. The following are the activities carried out.
The centre has formed Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee (P & TC) to deal with drug issues of the hospital. A sub-committee called Adverse Drug Reaction Committee under P & TC is involved in monitoring & documenting ADRs in the hospital. It also provides educational material to the doctors. The council also collects ADR reports from other hospitals of Bangalore.
